A Message from our Camp Director

Hello everyone,

My love for camp started long before I ever imagined making a career of it. Growing up in England, my family and my time in Cub Scouts sparked a passion for adventure, community, and the pure fun that camp brings into a child’s life. Those early experiences shaped who I am and continue to influence how I approach every summer.

I began my camp journey at Camp Arrowhead in Lewes, Delaware, where I spent three incredible summers as a counselor, working with campers of all ages—from Homestead all the way up to Pathfinder. Since then, I’ve had the privilege to work with Soccer Shots as both a coach and Assistant Director, helping young athletes build skills and confidence. I’ve also been fortunate to travel the world, learning from a wide range of cultures and bringing those perspectives back to the programs I create.

My path eventually led me to the YMCA of Delaware, where I served as Camp Director for four years. Now, as the Athletic Director at The Pilot School and heading into my fourth summer as Camp Director for the Pilot School Summer Camp, I’m thrilled to continue building a camp that truly reflects what camp should be: a place to grow, learn, explore, and have fun.

Our focus each summer is simple—learning, development, and joy. We want campers to try new things, build friendships, gain confidence, and leave each day feeling proud and excited for the next.
