Student Life AT PILOT
Pilot offers students a variety of clubs, sports, and activities to get involved with after school.
The Pilot School is a member of the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) and competes against other middle schools in the area. All Upper Division students are required to play two out of the three sports seasons. Students in the Middle Division who are interested in playing competitive sports must be eleven years old to be eligible to participate in DIAA sports. For those students who are not old enough to play competitively, we offer club sports through outside organizations and intramural offerings.
We offer a variety of after-school clubs, led by both Pilot faculty and outside organizations. Club offerings change three times a year, and run for 8-10 week sessions. Current club offerings can be find here. Questions about after-school clubs should be directed to Diane Daley at email@example.com. Some common Pilot School clubs are below.
hot lunch program
Our lunch service program will be offered through a local Delaware restaurant, Cafe Napoli. There will be an online ordering system for all families to submit weekly lunch orders and payment. Orders for weekly lunches will need to be submitted by midnight on Friday evenings.
Regardless of whether they pack their lunch or use the hot meal service, all students can choose to take part in our milk program. Milk service is available from local farm Hy-Point Dairy, with a choice of 1% plain milk or 1% chocolate milk.
After School Care
Kids Club is an afterschool program that runs from 3:00pm until 6:00pm. Students can take part in structured activities or free play, both indoors and outside. For those interested, we now offer a Homework Club option. These are fee-for-service programs, and parents can opt into a range of options. In the event of a last-minute need, Kids Club is available to all Pilot families through a drop-in rate. Please refer to our Parent Resource page for details on all of our after school programs.
