The Pilot School’s Summer Enrichment Camp offers children an opportunity to learn, play, and grow.  Our campers benefit from our multi-sensory approach, which offers them the opportunity to stay on top of key academic skills in language arts and math without sacrificing all of the fun of traditional summer camp! All learning activities are guided by professional teaching staff.

The Pilot School’s Reading Immersion Summer Camp addresses various components of literacy (phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding, fluency, comprehension, and spelling rules) via the Wilson Reading Program and other evidenced-based programming aligned with the science of reading.  Pre- and post-testing and progress reports are offered for our Reading Immersion Summer Campers.

The Leadership in Training (LIT) program is designed for rising 6th-8th graders, and blends skill-building, mentorship and classic summertime activites. Designed for students eager to grow as leaders, the LIT program consists of three key components: Formal Leadership Training, Learning Through Service , and Traditional Camp Fun.

At The Pilot School Summer Camp, your child’s health and safety are our top priorities. We believe that a safe, nurturing, and responsive environment supports every camper’s well-being and ability to thrive. Our goal is to foster a camp community where all children feel supported physically, emotionally, and socially through proactive care, healthy routines, and open communication.

We encourage parents to share any relevant health or medical information before the start of camp, so we can work together to ensure a safe and positive experience for every camper.

Health & Safety Practices

  • Several members of our camp staff are certified in First Aid, CPR, and medication administration.
  • We maintain clear procedures for addressing common health needs and responding to minor injuries or emergencies.
  • Campers with special health needs will be accommodated to the best of our ability based on the information provided prior to enrollment.
  • Medications must be clearly labeled and signed in with Camp Staff
  • We prioritize hydration, sun protection, and frequent handwashing throughout the day.
